		<description><![CDATA[Yes.  However our Western Society uses medication to reduce the effect of practicing as a spiritual glutton.  Anti-depressants.  So individuals who take these have a &#039;shelf&#039; that stops them feeling too down/depressed. They then feel they are doing fine, and don&#039;t have to address their behaviour/lifestyle.  Instant gratification is very seductive and supports our consumer culture.
I know several people who take anti-depressants and operate this way, and I find it very disturbing, but they seem to be happy to stay on them for years and the traditional doctors keep prescribing them.  I prefer to remain fully conscious.]]></description>
